One Project
This project-based incubator is for storytellers — writers, theatre makers, or interdisciplinary artists — who seek individualized support to bring projects to life.
-
This individualized incubator is built on the power of project-based learning and driven by adult education principles. It offers focused, hands-on momentum that is rooted in data from Nandita’s workshops, which show how challenging it is for adult learners to sustain engagement over extended timelines, without a clear goal in sight. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience across five continents, Nandita has designed this approach to support fellow storytellers turn vision into action.
(Yes, this a polite way of saying “I help you get shit done.”)

Based on your responses in the intake form that starts our collaboration (see “How do I sign up?”), Nandita will design a customized plan. Some examples:
Two hour virtual conversations once a week for six weeks
Six hours of virtual or in-person engagements over the course of one weekend
One three-hour in-person conversation (in the Bay Area), followed up by two hours of asynchronous support on project drafts
-
Anyone 15 and over (with consent from legal guardians for those under 18). For example:
Students in high school, undergraduate or graduate programs that center storytelling
Independent storytellers looking for support to bring projects to life
Anyone who wants to make their everyday life more creative and would benefit from a guided way to make this happen
-
The fee is based on the hourly living wage in your location. For example:
A participant in San Francisco, where the living wage is approximately $50/hour, would pay $500 for a 10-hour engagement.
A participant in Delhi, where the living wage is about ₹150/hour, would pay ₹1,500 for the same 10-hour engagement
If you are able to pay more or less than the living wage in your area, let us know in the intake form.
If you do not know the living wage in your area, you can also let us know in the intake form.
As you make the decision about monetary compensation, we invite you to consider how the labor of artists, women, and people of color is often undervalued. We ask that you be honest about what’s possible for you, while honoring the value of our work together.
